ABOUT
Harvest of Asher is a Messianic congregation of Jewish and Gentile believers in Akko, Israel. Akko is part of the unclaimed inheritance of the Tribe of Asher (Judges 1:31), strategically located at the northwest gateway into Israel. God has called us to conquer Akko, not with swords and spears but by reaching out with the love of God. We believe that by restoring the altar of worship to Yeshua, the altars of Baal and Asharath will be torn down. Prayer and intercession will cleanse the land of the blood which was spilt for 5,000 years through the sacrifice to idols and the brutality of foreign conquerors. We proclaim the blood of Messiah Yeshua over Akko preparing the way for His return.
THE VISION
And when we had finished our voyage from Tyre we came to Ptolemais, greeted the brethren and stayed with them one day.Acts 21:7 In 1998 my wife Tali and I were seeking God’s direction. While reading in Acts about Ptolemais (Greek for Akko), we realized there had been first century believers in the area. It was then that God revealed to us His heart for the restoration of the altar of worship to Yeshua, the living God of Israel, absent from Akko for over 2,000 years. God showed us that He wants to restore that first century Messianic Community in Akko. We began with a small home group, humanitarian aid, prayer, and intercession. The Lord birthed in our hearts His mandate for the congregation which is 24/7 prayer and worship to bring physical and spiritual restoration to the city and surrounding area. We saw the dry bones coming to life. Harvest of Asher, a daughter congregation of the Tents of Mercy network was dedicated in the spring of 2005.
