How it began
"And when we had finished our voyage from Tyre we came to Ptolemais, greeted the brethren and stayed with them one day."
Acts 21:7
In 1998 Tali and I were seeking God’s direction when we read the above scripture in Acts. We realized Ptolemais was Greek for Acco and that there had been first century believers in the city. It was then that God revealed to us His heart for the restoration of the altar of worship to Yeshua the Messiah of Israel, absent from Acco for over 2,000 years. God showed us that He wants to restore that first century Messianic Community in Acco.
The Lord birthed in our hearts His mandate a place where prayer, intercession and worship would bring physical and spiritual restoration to the city and the surrounding area. We literally saw the dry bones coming to life.
We began with a small home group, humanitarian aid, prayer, worship and intercession. In the spring of 2005 the Harvest of Asher congregation was dedicated.
We invite you to join with us, Jew and Gentile together in anticipation of the awakening of the sons and daughters of Israel:
