We Believe
1
God and creation
We believe in One God - Yahweh ( In Hebrew "יהוה" - who is and who was and who is to come) who created the visible and invisible world by His Word. He is the supreme and only Creator of the heavens, the earth and of man created in His own image and likeness. (Genesis 1, Colossians 1:16, Hebrews 11:3)
2
One God
We believe in one God who was revealed as the Father, the Son - in the person of Messiah Yeshua - and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Colossians 1:15, John 14:16-17)
3
The Holy scriptures, The Word of God
We believe that the Holy Scriptures - both the Old and the New Testament - are the living Word of God - written under the inspiration of the Spirit of God through human beings. The Holy Scriptures are the revelation of the truth about God, His character and will. The Word of God constitutes an exclusive authority and provides guidelines for a moral life and behavior of all believers - Jews and Gentiles alike. (John 1:1-5, 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
4
The sin of man
We believe that the human race came under the curse of sin as a result of the fall – disobedience – of the first man (Adam) to a divine commandment. Man's sin is the main cause of his separation from God and his spiritual death. (Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, 8:20-21)
5
Through faith
We believe that all the joys and blessings that come from God's grace are received through faith. Complete faith in receiving all the Lord's promises comes as a result of listening and believing in the Lord's words. (Habakkuk 2:4, Hebrews 11:1- 40, Romans 10:17)
6
Atonement
We believe that to atone for the sin of man, God sent His beloved Son Yeshua the Messiah into the world to be an eternal sacrifice for the sins of all mankind and to redeem it from the curse
of sin. (John 3:16, Isaiah 53, Romans 3:25, Romans 8:3, Galatians 3:13, 1 Peter 2:24, Hebrews 9:12, 14, Hebrews 10:10)
7
Forgiveness, Justification and Salvation
We believe that due to the sacrifice of Yeshua the Messiah, every person is given the gift of salvation and eternal life. Every person has the opportunity to receive forgiveness for his sins - through repentance of the heart, and righteousness before God - through faith in the Son of God. Salvation is a gift of God's grace and is freely given regardless of one’s works. (Romans 3:21-26, Romans 5:1, Colossians 2:13, Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-9, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 10:9-10,
Acts 16:30-31)
8
Faith
We believe that all the promises, blessings and gifts mentioned in God's Word are received and fulfilled through faith. The believer's faith is proven by his actions, keeping the commandments of the Lord and walking in the truth of the Scriptures. (Habakkuk 2:4, Hebrews 11:1-40, Romans 10:9-10, 17, James 2:17, 22, 26)
9
God's mercy and judgment
We believe that God is a merciful Father as well as a righteous judge. Therefore, every human being will stand before the judgment seat of God and the Messiah. Our decisions, faith, the choices we made and our actions while in this world will be a decisive factor in God's righteous judgment in the eternal judgment. (Matthew 16:27, 2 Timothy 4:1, Romans 14:10, 12, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 20:11-15)
10
Yeshua is the Messiah
We believe that Yeshua is the promised Messiah sent by God to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles. We believe that the image of the invisible God was revealed in the person of Yeshua and in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. We believe that the Son of God - Yeshua, was born in human form - to a virgin named Mary - conceived through the Holy Spirit. He lived and ministered in the Land of Israel at the beginning of the first century. He proclaimed and demonstrated the Kingdom of Heaven, by healing the sick, casting out demons and performing many miracles and signs. He was betrayed by the religious Jewish leaders - executed by crucifixion - He died a cruel death. He died for our sins, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. Yeshua has fully fulfilled all the prophecies of the Torah and the Prophets that speak about the Messiah, written over the course of thousands of years. Yeshua was both fully human and fully God. Today Yeshua lives in His resurrected body, seated at the right hand of God's throne. (Colossians 1:15, Colossians 2:9, Ephesians 1:20, Gospels by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)
11
The new covenant community fellowship
We believe that every believer in Yeshua should belong to a community of other believers. Together we are made to be the Lord's body with Yeshua Himself as the head. Every believer has a destiny, calling, gifts and purpose through which we are called to serve, build and encourage one another to the perfection of knowing God and His purposes in our lives. (Matthew 16:18, Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27, Colossians 1:18, 2:19, Ephesians 2:19-
22, 4:12-16)
12
Our new identity
We believe that everyone who receives Yeshua as his Lord and Savior is given a new identity as:
· Sons of God (John 1:12, Romans 8:15-16, 29, Galatians 3:26, Ephesians 1:5, 1 John 3:1)
· New creation (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15, Ephesians 2:10)
· Citizens of the Heavenly Kingdom (Ephesians 2:19, Philippians 3:20)
13
Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in the Scriptures, which the Spirit gives to every believer according to His will. The gifts of the Spirit are meant to benefit and build the community of Messiah and promote the kingdom of Heaven on earth. (Joel 3:1-2, Romans 12:6- 8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Galatians 5:18-20, Ephesians 4:7-8, Hebrews 2:4)
14
The people of Israel
We believe that the people of Israel have a unique and decisive role in God's plan. God chose the people of Israel through the covenants He made with our forefathers - Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. As a result, God's greatness, love, grace and faithfulness as well as the plan of salvation for all the nations of the world was revealed. Through the promised Messiah who came from the Nation of Israel, God granted redemption, restoration of relationship with Himself and eternal life to every person from every tribe and nation. (Genesis 12:2-3, 17:7, 18:18, 26:3-4, Exodus 6:7, 25:8, 29:45-46, Jeremiah 30:22, 31:1-34, Romans 9:4-5, 11:2, 11-12, 15, 25-29)
15
Yeshua returns
We believe in the second coming of the Messiah Yeshua which will mark the beginning of a new era and the reign of Yeshua on earth for a thousand years. (Matthew 24:29-31, 44, Mark 13:24- 27, Luke 21:25-27, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17, 2 Thessalonians 1:7)
