Psalm 114 teaches that all creation responds to the presence and Word of God. The sea, rivers, and mountains are described as reacting to Him, showing that God’s authority is above nature itself. This reveals that His Word is eternal, unshakable, and still active today.

Psalm 143 is a psalm of a weary soul, in which David does not hide his distress.

Revelation 2:1-7 is addressed to the congregation of Ephesus and reveals Yeshua’s call to return to first love, presents the life of the congregation within a framework of living covenant relationships between the congregation and the Lord.

I once heard an excellent illustration of our lives under pressure. There are moments in life when a person feels as if he is lying on the ground with the metal track of a heavy tank passing over him. Each link in the track presses him further and further into the earth.

Today we gather with hearts that are heavy, yet filled with deep hope, for today the words of Scripture are not only read, but lived before our eyes.
